Some Furniture Practice
My most recent "project" was just trying my hand at getting a bunch of really different pieces done in one day. I had posted online asking if anyone had any cool or weird pieces of furniture I could try my hand at modelling. As you can see, I got quite the variety to work with! These tested a lot of different modelling techniques for me, and I enjoyed pushing myself to get it done. The focus was more on the modelling than the materials, but despite that they still came out kinda okay. If I were to come back to these, I'd definitely work on that more before anything else.
This is apparently a decorative topper for an elaborate bedpost. This was a fun one to figure out how to get the shape of just right.
A very ornate metal lamp. This was originally a completely different color in the reference photo, but the person who sent me the reference requested I give it an edgier look. The displacement mapping on this one was the toughest thing I did all day.

This was technically the first piece I did that day, a short wooden shelf painted white.
I finished off my day with this taller, metal-and-wood shelf.
A bonus from the previous day, a backless chair with a simple cushion. I had made better cushions for this, but didn't put any materials on it, so this is the cushion it gets instead.
